WWF is uniquely well placed to bring our world back to life. They’ve been protecting nature’s wonders for more than 60 years. And are now leading the way not just to protect our natural world but to restore it. They’re working globally with communities, governments, companies and others who have the will to act and transform our world.
WWF was the first organisation to develop a science-based strategy that focuses on the links between food, climate and biodiversity loss and remains at the forefront of this approach. They’re tackling these threats in three key ways: averting dangerous climate change, creating a sustainable food system and restoring threatened habitats and species.
Through strategic partnerships with companies, WWF can help them reduce their environmental impact and advocate together to move whole sectors towards better ways of doing business. WWF collaborates with communities and Indigenous peoples to develop long term strategies for protecting and restoring the natural world. WWF also works with policymakers to direct private capital away from environmentally damaging activity. Their work on policy and regulatory interventions helps to build a sustainable economy. Alongside financial institutions, they develop policy and financing solutions that can be scaled. In addition, WWF works with governments to build economies geared towards investment and job-creation in sustainable, nature-positive sectors, shifting the balance towards a future economy that works for people and nature.
